  • Hat Factory and Museum - celebrating 400 years of hatting! - The Hat works is a recreated hat factory, you can marvel at Victorian machinery and see the hat making process. See their remarkable collection of more than 400 hats from around the world including some donated by celebrities including Dame Judi Dench and Dannii Minogue.
  • The 1932 Plaza Theatre with tea and cake - Visit a fully restored and altogether remarkable 1932 Art Deco theatre. The 1930’svintage cafe serves refreshments and lunches. Theatre and cafe closed Sundays
  • Britain’s largest WW2 air raid shelter - See the authentically re-equipped, original tunnels that were cut in 1939 from the rock under the town and held up to 6,500 people during the war.
  • Staircase House, Stockport Museum and the 1860’s Market Hall - Staircase House is a beautifully restored 15th-century townhouse situated in the historic Market Place. Hidden behind the modern frontage lies a remarkable secret: a building containing several different houses. The building takes its name from the Jacobean staircase; one of only three surviving Jacobean cage-newel staircases in the country. Stockport Museum traces local history from the Iron Age, Medieval, Victorian times to present day.
  • Free Bus transfers in Stockport - Free shuttle buses run every 10 minutes in from the train station.

Trains return to Manchester approx. every 10 minutes until approx.12 midnight.
