Enjoy a ride on the hop-on hop-off Manchester Sightseeing Bus Tour. Known throughout the world as the birthplace of the industrial revolution, Manchester has a proud history in science, politics, music, arts and sport. Now you can discover much of that history from the top deck of a bus. The green Sightseeing Manchester hop-on hop-off open top sightseeing bus tour takes you on a 90-minute trip round the Manchester city centre and the modern waterfront developments at Salford Quays. There are 15 stops, with the route carefully planned to take you round some of Manchester’s main sights with a commentary by ‘Lord of the Rings’ and ‘Lost’ actor Dominic Monaghan.

Sightseeing Manchester Bus Stop & Locations

Due to roadworks on Trafford Wharf Road, the bus will not be stopping at Imperial War Museum North until further notice. For those wishing to visit the museum, it is only a short walk from Salford Quays and Media City.

Discover Manchester Walking Tour (2 or 4 hours)

Let your own private guide take you on a walking tour of all the major highlights of Manchester such as the  own Hall, John Ryland’s Library, Royal Exchange Theatre and the Cathedral. The tour content, route and pace can be entirely flexible to suit you. If you have a particular interest, just let us know and we can adapt.
Four hour tours cover the same content as the two hour tours but at a more leisurely pace and in more detail. They can also include a short refreshment stop (not included in the price).

Manchester Music Walking Tour (2 or 4 hours)
Hear how Manchester's unique sound shaped the world’s music scene as you walk though the city. See  legendry music studios, clubs and venues including the Freetrade Hall, Palace Theatre, Factory Records HQ, Ritz Ballroom, Hacienda, the Boardwalk and the Congregational Chapel. Listen to stories of local bands including the Hollies, Joy Division, New Order, Buzzcocks, The Smiths and Oasis. Plus the great bands who visited including the Beatles, Sex Pistols and Bob Dylan’s famous ‘Judas’ performance. 

Four hour tours cover the same content as the two hour tours but at a more leisurely pace and in more detail. They can also include a short refreshment stop (not included in the price)

The Etihad Stadium is in east Manchester.  Take the Metrolink tram to 'Etihad Campus' station or a taxi (10 minutes from Piccadilly).

How to get to Stockport

Trains run regularly between Manchester Piccadilly and Stockport (Journey approx 10 minutes). It takes 25-30 minutes to drive to Stockport from Manchester city centre.

Accessibility: Please be aware that the Brewery Tour is around a working traditional tower brewery and as such involves steep stairways and some narrow walkways. Unfortunately, the Brewery Tour is not Wheelchair assessable. Induction Loops are available, Please ask at the front reception and switch Hearing Aids to the ‘T’ position to use this facility.  Please wear suitable shoes (avoid open toe shoes, heels and flip flops)

This tour is only suitable for over 18's, Please bring I.D.
